Hidden Histories

We received the advance copies of these little beauties at work recently, the first in of 2015 (we approved them to print well before christmas), and they are the first two books in a new series called “Hidden Histories”, here we have Trees and Herbs, and both the UK (Timber Press) and US (Chicago University Press) editions.

I was lucky enough to have to design both of them. They are relatively small books, only 256pp, but surprisingly fiddly to put together. It can be nerve wracking waiting for the advance copies to come back from the printer, there is always a risk something could have gone wrong but I am pleasantly surprised by how they have turned out which is always nice, I think they look pretty fab, if I may say so myself! Any thoughts?

  1. Thank you Kristen, indeed the Herbs one is more colourful, trees can be a little repetitive, although the interiors of both are surprisingly rather varied! I’ll share some sneaky snaps of the spread shortly…
