Martin Firrell (described as a ‘cultural activist, campaigner and even protagonist’) is an artist who projects text onto buildings in public places with the intention to promote debate and create positive social change. He makes some bold statements, simple put, but they make you think, says so much with so little, they definitely make one stop and think. I wish I could have confidence to create my own statement, to feel words on a blank page are enough and say enough, because they can be. Left: an interesting statement, a bold one, not something I’ve ever heard or come across before. Below: One of the public’s answers to the question ‘What makes life meaningful and purposeful?’ Splashing it across the St Pauls dome and London skyline certainly brings it home, back down to earth, it is a striking image.
